Saba means number three in Bamana, one of the many Malian languages. Three violin sounds from three different cultures and continents, typical of their countries of origin. Three violin players united by their passion for modal and pentatonic music. The project originated from a encounter between Richard Bourreau and Guo Gan in a French festival, where the idea of a musical project took shape, and then really started in Mali. The music was then recorded in France. This is a project in which each musician makes his mark, with Zoumana Tereta’s voice on top of it
